Dr. Tara Fox LPC-S (Texas) Presents Raising the Standard: What Quality Supervision Looks Like in Counselor Training

For Associates SEARCHING for

EXCELLENT supervision

This webinar offers practical guidance for Graduate Students and Associates who want to understand what quality supervision actually requires and what it looks like when it's done well.

Good intentions aren't enough. Supervisors who don't have a clear picture of what quality supervision is may create situations where Associates feel like they can't advocate for themselves.

Dr. Fox brings both research and real-world experience to this conversation. She'll help Graduate Students and Associates move past vague ideas about what "good supervision" should look like and teach concrete, defensible practice standards so they don't feel stuck in sub-standard situations.

Learning Objectives

  • Define the hallmarks of quality supervision in counselor training settings
  • Identify common gaps between supervision intentions and supervision outcomes
  • Apply ways Associates can advocate for themselves in supervision

Live webinar counts for up to 1 CE General and the 50% requirement in Texas.

We will answer your live questions as well as questions posted in Texas Counselors Creating Badass Businesses Facebook page.

🍀Step it UP members will have access to the replay as an asynchronous CE.

What BHEC Actually Sees: Supervision Mistakes Straight from the Source

For Supervisors Who Want to Know WHAT THE BOARDS ARE ACTUALLY LOOKING FOR

This one is a little different. Instead of us telling you what the board wants, we just... asked them.

And they said yes.

Most supervisors are trying to do it right. But good intentions don't protect you if your documentation is thin, your evaluations aren't defensible, or your supervisory relationship has gaps you didn't know to
look for.

The good news is those gaps are fixable. The better news is the people who know exactly
what those gaps look like are showing up to this webinar to tell you.

Deputy Executive Director Robert Romig, LPC Administrator Cristina de Luna, and LMFT and Social Work Administrator Sarah Faszholz are bringing their regulatory experience straight to you.

Real stuff, from the actual source.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the most common supervision mistakes formally and informally reported to BHEC
  • Recognize documentation and evaluation gaps that create regulatory risk
  • Apply practical corrections to strengthen your supervision practice before problems arise

Live webinar counts for up to 1 CE General and the 50% requirement in Texas.

We will answer your live questions as well as questions posted in Texas Counselors Creating Badass Businesses Facebook page.

Sarah Rivera, LPC Presents Ethical Supervision for Associates Entering Private Practice Ownership

For Associates Who Are BUILDING SOMETHING OF THEIR OWN

This webinar is for the associate who isn't just working toward licensure. They're building a practice. And that changes everything about what good supervision needs to look like.

Supervising an associate who owns or is starting a private practice isn't the same as supervising someone in an agency setting. The clinical questions are different. The business decisions are different. The ethical considerations are different.

And most supervisors aren't trained to navigate all three at once.

Sarah Rivera is a licensed professional counselor and founder of La Luz Counseling in San Antonio, a practice built on intentional matching, evidence-based care, and a diverse team of clinicians.

She knows what it takes to build something real and what associates actually need from their supervisors when they're trying to do the same.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the unique ethical considerations that arise when supervising associates in private practice settings
  • Recognize the clinical and business boundaries supervisors must maintain when a supervisee is also a practice owner
  • Apply a framework for supporting associate growth and autonomy without compromising supervisory responsibility

Live webinar counts for up to 1 CE General and the 50% requirement in Texas.

We will answer your live questions as well as questions posted in Texas Counselors Creating Badass Businesses Facebook page.
