Unique and the same at the same time- limitations and considerations when advertising in mental health AND how we can reproduce and mimic other industries

Consultation information:

I really enjoy the balance of clinical work, supervision, and consultation work with other practice owners. It allows me to stay excited, be creative, and help in multiple capacities. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, I bet you enjoy complexity, creativity, and challenge as much as I do.

I charge $250 an hour for business consultation and suggest our first meeting be 60-90 minutes. I do not charge for the time I spend before our call preparing and the time after the call where I type my notes and suggestions based on what we talk about. So essentially you are getting 3 hours worth of work from me, for the price of one hour. In order to get started I ask that you spend 30-60 minutes completing this form which will give me a good idea about where you are and where you would like to be.

The other offerings I have are:

  • Private Practice Owner Tools package- includes the following templates- employee/volunteer/associate offer letters, P&P, employee handbook, demographics and emergency contact, job descriptions for clinicians and admin staff, remediation plan template, termination letter. Additionally access to notes and videos from several trainings I've gone to throughout the years, templates for client intake paperwork, every step re: how I've handled CV19 with staff/interns/clients. It's basically a digital version of my practice and my brain. Access to these resources is $1500.
  • Supervisor Tools package- includes forms to start and sustain supervision including contracts, job description, group topics, remediation plan. Access to this is $500.

Amanda Esquivel MA, LPC-S has worked in the mental health industry for 15+ years in various levels of care before starting her practice, Room for Change, in 2014. Although she enjoyed working with a variety of clients in other settings, when she became a mother, the call to have a healthier relationship with her work became one she had to answer. So with a 4 month old, she quit her job and moved into a 113 square foot office. She's been able to maintain a profitable business every month since.

Amanda now splits her time between continued client care, supervising students and LPC Associates, and running her large group practice. Room for Change now has 4 locations throughout Garland and in Oak Lawn. They serve clients 12+ as individuals, couples, and families. Although they offer virtual services, their passion is working with clients in person. Their homelike offices put clients at ease, thus they dive easier and faster into their true therapeutic work. It's truly as their tagline says- A place and space for inner growth
